Great hotel!

by John B

Located just a block or so from historical downtown and LOTS of restaurants. It is an old railroad station with lots of history and plenty of pictures of the "old" station. The restaurant has a limited menu but every dish we ate was very good. The staff couldn't have been any nicer or accommodating.
We chose this hotel for our annual reunion of Navy veterans for price and location. We were very pleased with both. All of our members said their rooms were excellent. Only one out of 33 couples had a problem and it was with the room temperature and it was fixed immediately.
We worked with Jan, the event coordinator, and she was wonderful. If you are looking for a place close to just about everything, then this is the place for you. I highly recommend it!

RUDENESS WITH A CAPITAL R!

by Stacy A

I wish I could rate ZERO... and not even give a one rating. I booked this place because I have actually stayed at this hotel before. When we where headed to our family due to our grandmother being under Hospice Care, we were put by what sounded like a Bachelor party with a two year old, when we rolled in at 1 am just wanting some sleep before our even longer driver to what we knew would be very emotional days ahead. After, several hours of trying to call the front desk and getting a busy signal like someone had it off the hook. My son knocked on next door and asked them to stop... They didn't. We didn't sleep. Our second room... Shower didn't work..so my husband had to get on knees to wash hair.... TV wouldn't work...sound and no picture.... Told the desk the next morning and was told the manager would call us with a solution. Day one.... No call... Day two... No call.. so we called... Yes.. they will call you tomorrow. Day three... No call. And now... They will not call and they basically don't care... Finally received a phone call on the fourth day from a EVIE. Honestly, I have never wrote a bad review like this. I was told that no else around our rooms complained, so I guess what we had experienced didn't happen. They were all business type people staying around us. WOW! I would never stay there again. And I would advise based upon the way we were treated HOSPITALITY needs to be reviewed and practiced. She snippily added it was because we wanted to come back and stay for free... Actually, I haven't ever stayed anywhere FOR FREE expect through earning it with HOTELS.COM by TRAVELLING so frequently! RUDENESS with a CAPITAL R! I can guarantee if this were the last place on Earth to stay... I won't. It's a shame too because of its history. I am NOT a liar looking for a handout. But, I am a reviewer who will always tell about my experiences where I go.
