Very good

by roseyday

We stayed one night for a conference. The exterior is a weird grayish beige, not so modern looking. The inside was much nicer than the outside let on.
Our room had a weird smell but was clean, large and very comfortable. The towels were small as typical with this level Hotel. The beds were super comfortable and I appreciated four pillows on each bed. The Linens were clean and our hotel room was near spotless. We also really liked the fact that there was a fan in the bathroom, which is so rare.

Our meeting in the banquet room went well. The room itself was large enough for our group but not too large where it felt empty. It was quite cozy.
The breakfast was your typical expanded American Continental that these chains offer. They had powdered scrambled eggs, microwaved breakfast sausages and a few other typical selections of this kind of breakfast. I wish chains like this would make agreements with local food purveyors and offer something locally made or grown.

Terrible customer service, old rooms

I’ll start with the positives, the bed was clean and pretty comfortable. That’s about it. Honestly we weren’t looking for much given the price, but still...

This place is very, very outdated and sort of falling apart. The bathroom was so bad. Pealing paint, dirty door hinges and grab bars, there was about a 2” gap under the door, the towels were stained, rust... I could go on.

Our check in process was a joke. The guy at the desk didn’t smile once. The ONLY thing he mumbled at me was “name?” Then handed me a form to fill out, Handed me the keys, told us where the stairs were and walked away. I had to call after to him to ask about the check out time. He said “noon” and kept walking to the back office. That was it.

Skip this place if you can. The bed was clean, but being concerned enough to pull it apart to check first is not what we were looking for.
