A nice, clean, friendly Hotel, despite being a little old

by JEE1030

We booked late for an Auburn football game and this was one of the few left. I had never been here before.
When we checked in we were met by a very friendly staff at the desk. They quickly gave us keys and we were off to the second story room.
When the entry key didn’t work, a lady in the parking lot noticed and asked if we were having trouble and offered right away to come up- Turns our she works there and even though it appeared she was done for the day, stopped to ensure we were able to get in. She was awesome.
The room, although sort of worn, was really clean, bedding was nice and the comforter appeared to be down, which was nice.
The vanity light was a bit dim and flickered, the volume on the tv was broken but those were the only things that were not right-
Those are the only reasons I didn’t give it a score of five. It’s still great for the price.
Our son went to the office requested two more towels and a friendly staff appeared at our room with two fluffy towels shortly after.
We didn’t have breakfast, but our son did when he requested the towels.
Waffles, yogurt, eggs and juice.
When we checked out, I noticed another employee in the parking lot cleaning any little litter that was there. It was then I really noticed how clean the grounds were kept.
They do a really nice job taking care of the place and the staff is great.
I would book here again any time.

Was worth a free rewards night.. maybe

Check in was smooth and friendly. It felt like we were parked in the back parking lot of the gas station next door to get to our room which wasn’t fantastic.
The room was comfortable and clean for the age. Room smelled musty and showed lots of wear but the bed was comfy. Power outlets by the bed didn’t work for charging phones.
Convenient location between Montgomery and Atlanta but would stay somewhere else next time. McDonalds next door for breakfast and coffee.
