Not relaxing at all

We booked this hotel for a family get together. Our family has kids ages 8 and up, so we thought this would be a good place to have our gathering. We were totally wrong. It took forever for us to get our rooms, check in is at 4pm, check out is at 11am. Some of our family spent Friday and Saturday night there so we went up early on Saturday to enjoy spening time with them. Some of our family members were able to get into their rooms around noon, while others had to wait until after 5pm. It seemed they were extremely short staffed so it made our stay difficult. There is no place to sit and chat without sitting in a very humid pool area. There is a major lack of security at this hotel, especially with a million kids running around the pool and to and from their rooms and game room. The safety of our stay was compromised by drunk adults loudly walking around the halways and yelling at their dogs that were not on leashes. Check out is at 11am and around 9:30am housekeeping came to clean our room that we were still in. I think this hotel needs better communication between their staff. The hotel restaurant offered a very limited menu and is super understaffed. Their staff is under trained in the restaurant area, we could have walked out without paying bills that were never given to us and they wouldn't have known (but we didn't because we are honest people) They do have a nice game room for kids to play video games in and win prizes, the pool area is big, loud, and I'm sure fun for the kids, the hot tub was super small and in the middle of all the crazy kids. It was just not an enjoyable stay for our get together.
