This 90-room hotel with its chic Art Deco flavor offers many services families will appreciate. Each of its studios and one- and two-bedroom suites is smoke-free, and each has a full kitchen, a cable TV with a DVD player, and free high-speed wired Internet. (There’s also free wireless Internet in the hotel’s lobby and breakfast room.) Cribs are provided upon request at no charge, and pets are permitted (with an extra cleaning fee). The hotel even has coin-operated washers and dryers.
A full hot breakfast, featuring eggs and waffles as well as the usual continental fare, is included in the room rate. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, the inn hosts an evening social from 6 to 7:30 p.m. that includes beverages and dinner — anything from meatloaf and mashed potatoes to eggrolls with rice.
The Residence Inn also offers a complimentary-grocery shopping service. Just drop off your grocery list at the front desk before 9:00 a.m. and your groceries will be delivered to your kitchen sometime in the early afternoon. While the groceries are charged to your account, there’s no additional charge for the delivery.
The hotel offers an exercise room with cardio equipment and free weights, but you can also get free passes to a local gym called WellWorX that’s just a block away. Don’t miss the hotel’s rooftop hot tub — it has memorable views of downtown Memphis and the Mississippi River.

Stayed two nights. Great easy location to downtown tourist sites. Good checkin. Standard breakfast buffet. Room had a strange layout and we were next to elevator. Staff did not seem particularly well trained, great variation in professionalism and focus on guests. No major complaints, but nothing to compel me to return.
The hotel is located downtown Memphis, walking distance to many restaurants, riverfront and to Beale street. The room was large and spacious, not too new/modern but has everything (but a safe) there. There is a Starbucks coffee shop at the hotel which is convenient. There is $28 valet parking service.
The hotel front desk service was simply great, and especially the fantastic Ima and Pam who were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to do everything they can in order to make our stay enjoyable... They were wonderful.
