Comfy and good location

by jar2574

We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, but in the short time we were there, the staff was pretty friendly, and the sheets and pillows were pretty comfy. The location is close to Beale Street and plenty of attractions. You will pay $25 for valet parking.

Just Ok

This hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Peabody Hotel and a short walk to Beale St. They offer an airport and local area shuttle which is really convenient.

The property seems to have undergone some updating but the lobby and adjacent restaurant/bar area seem cold and somewhat unwelcoming.

Our room was large and bright but lacked somewhat in cleanliness. Our housekeeper was less than attentive and we had to bring a number of issues to the manager on duty.

I’m an IHG Platinum member with a documented request that my room not be near the elevator. We checked in and our room is right across from the elevator door. When brought to the front desk attendant’s attention she moved us the a room sharing walls with the elevator shaft. Didn’t feel like another visit down to the lobby.

After our first night our bathroom was left dirty by the housekeeper and soiled bed linens were not replaced and there were no towels in the bathroom. A call to the front desk for towels was not addressed for well over an hour then two hours after the first towels arrived another housekeeper knocked with yet another set.

A manager came to address issues with our dirty room and most but not all were addressed but again didn’t want to perpetuate the issues.

Although the location is convenient I don’t think I’d stay here again.

Also of note, our room overlooked an empty dirty pool and building construction. Although not swimming season it did not appear the pool is functional.
