Beautiful building but not worth the money. The a/c was broken in BOTH of our rooms. There is a long list of small issues that all amount to an extremely over priced experience with insanely salty food, $20 bowls of watery oatmeal, and poorly trained dining room staff as a few examples. Far from being worth $500 a night for a fairly basic room.
This is our third stay at this property and we intend on comng back next year. We always stay at the Club Level, as the staff is always there to please, they provide much needed assistance in booking restaurants, excursions and/or transportation.
Almira Salvador the Club Level Supervisor, was extremely attentive, a true professional and notwithstanidng, just a very nice person in general.
Now for some constructive criticism, some of which you have already heard from other customers. First, we also had a bad smell, intermittently, in Room 832 coming from the shower and had to call engineering to address, the engineer came up, but could not address the problem. I am wondering, if the other reviewer, was in the same room, unfortunately, although we are Ritz Carlton Platinum Elite Members, we were not offered a room upgrade, as was provided to the other reviewer.
Next, we could not use the in room refrigerator, as it was too big for the cabinet, all of the beverages that are normally in the refrigerator, were in the front of the "honor bar", the Cranberry Juice will expire on August 9th 2019 for your information.
The next odd thing, was that most if not all of the towel "hooks" in the hotel are a round knob that look pretty, but your towel keeps falling off, so they cannot be used.
Final note, as to the food pairings, other properties have a rotating breakfast entree, otherwise your are stuck with the same boring "bacon and eggs" everyday, the sandwiches at lunch were "sub par" and if you had ordered them for lunch downstairs, you would have most likely have sent them back, finally there are little or no additional vegetables to add to to the salad mix.
Notwithstanding, we will back next year, hoping that these deficienices will have been rectified.
