Expected more

by Mila-and-me

For my last stop before flying out of Bali, I wanted to treat myself with a resort hotel at the beach in Nusa Dua. If I could book again I wouldn't come back to Sadara: this place definitely didn't meet my expectations.

The beach is small and has a lot of seaweed, my room is nice but somehow cold (typical resort hotel room), afternoon tea is really nice - they offer sweet and salty snacks but the breakfast was a disaster: I ordered an iced latte with soy milk without sugar (I don't drink dairy milk and never drink sugared beverages) - I got a sugary hot latte; the menu (à la carte) wasn't property explained to me and when I finally made a choice, not all the ingredients were available; the granola came with fruits and yogurt but they only had plain dairy yogurt and nothing else (not even coconut which I got in EVERY other place here on Bali). I'm also not 100% sure if everyone speaks and understands English - which could have been a reason for my little issues.

As the hotel's location is rather far away of the centre, they offer two drop off times but only one pick up. So you would have to take the 12 noon drop off so that you can hop on the pick up shuttle back at 4.20pm from the shopping mall.

The spa is another thing: you get offered a complementary 15 minutes foot massage upon your arrival which is really nice! Unfortunately, the spa wasn't very welcoming, not sure if the towel the massage therapist used on my feet was clean and the pressure wasn't really enjoyable. I had a quick look in their spa menu and the prices are horrendous in comparison to other places.

The garden and pool area is nice though, with lots of green and flowers, plenty of sun umbrellas provided and a pool bar you can swim towards. The shower and bathroom facilities are not really welcoming and not very clean.

Stunning hotel right by the sea

Sadara Resort is located right by the beach/sea which is absolutely very nice! Their pool is also amazing and you can even have your coconut water at the pool bar which is fun! The staff is also very lovely and the food very good! I would 100% recommend this hotel!
