OK, but no elevator

by RockyIsland

The room was clean and breakfast was good. The owner was helpful suggesting suitable places to eat and visit in the area. However, we were disappointed with the room (204), very dark due to the positioning, Based on a conversation I overheard, I believe we were the only people on the upper floor that night so why were we given that room? I’m baffled. To top it, there is NO ELEVATOR and we had cases to lug up the stairs with no offer of help.

Rude Front Staff/Breakfast not served to 9:30am as advertised.

by Hailey T

We stayed here during the labor day weekend. We went down on Monday at 9 am to get breakfast, which was served until 9:30 am. The kitchen area was very dirty and everything was empty. I went to the desk to ask the front desk clerk if there was anymore food, before I could ask the question she rudely stated she had put more in the microwave. We went and sat at a table and waited for her to stock pastries, milk, fruit, coffee (breakfast). About 15 minutes later she brought out the eggs she had microwaved. We waited for other items, which never came. We could have been happy with eggs and the cereal that was there but there was no silverware to eat eggs with, no milk to eat cereal, etc. We waiting 30 minutes before approaching the desk again, when we did she told us very rudely, breakfast ended at 9:30 am. We explained we had been there since 9 am. She rudely stated, she was busy but didn't offer to get us anything. We expressed our frustration. NOT once did she apologize but instead walked away from us as we talked to her. One reason we stayed at this hotel was the breakfast. If she had said they were out of food we could have went out for breakfast but she let us sit there for 30 minutes waiting on something that never came. Upon checkout, we saw here loading the refrigerator with yogurt and other things. I asked her, so you did have more food? She again, rolled her eyes and walked away from me. We were very disappointed with her demeaner and lack of customer services skills. Though the room was clean and the pool nice, we will never stay here again do to the lack of respect for the customer's they serve.
