My husband and I stayed at the Sequoia Motel in Three Rivers, CA to be close to Sequoia National Park. The location was perfect, only 4 miles from the park entrance. Our room was clean with fairly new renovations. Chris greeted us as we drove in and quickly got us registered. She was ready with restaurant suggestions and offered other local information. The description of the motel said limited water and limited internet. There was plenty of water. We didn’t need or miss the internet. I would recommend the Sequoia Motel especially if you don’t mind basic accommodations. It wasn’t fancy, but it was very adequate. The swimming pool was clean. We were told to be aware of the “meat bees” when eating outside. I had no idea what a meat bee was, but had a rude introduction to them when I was swarmed as soon as my roasted chicken arrived. The bees didn’t bother my husband’s food but wouldn’t leave mine alone. We had to move inside to finish our meal. All in all we had a fabulous time visiting the Giant Forest...at which I felt like a hobbit! Sequoia Motel is a great place to stay!
