Good, not great

by Kevin D

Visited for the Labor Day weekend. This place is good not great. 1) rooms were adequate, nothing special 2) staff is horrible. Just horrible. No one runs the place. Either the front door is unmanned or basically unmanned by a 20-something, texting away on her phone. She wouldn’t even bother to look up and acknowledge guests as they walk in. Very weak. 3) bikes? There are 2 for the entire place. Rarely available. 4) TVs in room are small 5) safe is basically portable. Could be taken at any time 6) no restaurant in morning or afternoon. No drinks available at pool

Pros - pool is nice. Quiet.

Advice to owner - get some real staff. No phone texting millennials!

A nice but expensive time in a small room

by MBarnett78282

Overall we had a nice time.

First, the positives: nice pool, clean room and comfy bed, and all the croissant you can eat at breakfast.

The negatives: very expensive for a small room ($395 per night during summer non-weekend days). We were also placed on the small first floor wing, with rooms overlooking the bocce courts. One of the bedroom windows had a large crack -- from a bocce ball I assume? Noise from the courts was not an issue, but you could occasionally hear people on the second floor above. Also, the room is really small -- maybe 270 square feet as advertised, maybe not -- and the tiny bath is far from "sublime." The in-room snacks consistent of potato chips.
