Overview

This Sheraton sits at the edge of San Diego Bay, only 10 minutes from family-friendly attractions like the San Diego Zoo, Old Town and Balboa Park. At the hotel, families will want to spend some quality “splashing” time in one of the three swimming pools — one just for children. The Marina offers additional activities, like sailboat rentals. Guests enjoy complimentary shuttle service between the Marina, Bay Towers and the San Diego International Airport. Harbor’s Edge is the main dining room, serving all meals. Shoreline Restaurant offers waterfront views with an airy, outdoors ambience and is open for lunch and dinner. There is also a Starbucks on the grounds, as well as a couple bars. Additional dining options are a short walk away at the Horton Plaza. Rooms at the Sheraton feature designs that exude nautical color schemes with in-room Nintendo games that can be played on flat-screen televisions. Rooms are equipped with private balconies or patios. Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Cribs upon request, and four-legged friends are welcomed.

Avoid if possible

The biggest regret of my current trip to San Diego has been choosing this hotel. I arrived at 11am, was told check in was at 4pm, no problem. I come back at 4pm, room isnt ready and no ETA on when it will be ready. Come back at 5pm, no room, no ETA and no act of good faith, additional points, food coupons, nothing. Finally room is ready at 5:45pm. I request late checkout to compensate for the late checkin and am denied. The AC unit does not work and the thermostat is ripped out of the wall. I tell the front desk and she "says she will send up maintenance". Maintenance doesn't come. So currently as a Marriott gold member I am sitting in a hot stuffy room that was given to me almost 2 hours late. An absolute disgrace.

Beautiful hotel - stunning views

Great location, beautiful hotel, amazing views! We stayed in the Lanai building and it was very quiet. Lots of plane noise everywhere, but that's all of San Diego. The restaurants are pricey (especially breakfast). The walks along the harbor were great - 15 minutes to each end of the peninsula. Staff and concierge were very helpful. Here for a work conference and accommodations were great.
