Overview

You can easily get lost at the Sheraton Vistana Resort — and we mean that in the best way possible! This expansive resort, which specializes in multi-room villas, is divided into seven distinct sections. And within those sections are seven swimming pools, plus restaurants and other activities galore — from mini-golf and sports courts to surrey bikes and — get this — an escape room! The best part? The resort doesn’t charge resort fees. You pay what you want to enjoy additional activities (and some activities are included).

If you like it enough, you might even consider a timeshare at the Sheraton Vistana Resort (but that’s certainly not a requirement to enjoy the fun).

Find the Best Price for Your Stay

Villas are divided into seven sections: Cascades, Courts, Fountains I, Fountains II, Falls, Lakes, Spa, Springs and Palms. Tip: The best sections for families are Lakes and Cascades, as these are the only two with elevators.

All villas feature fully equipped kitchens or well-equipped kitchenettes with granite countertops, cooktops, microwaves, countertop appliances and dishwashers. Four to eight guests can comfortably gather in the dining areas. All villas also have washers and dryers, and balconies or patios that look out on to a body of water. Many villas have connecting features to accommodate large groups, as well.

One-Bedroom Villa
The one-bedroom villas have a separate bedroom with a king bed, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living area; they sleep up to four people.

Two-Bedroom Villa
In the two-bedroom units, one bedroom has a king bed and the second has two full-size beds. With the addition of a sofa bed in the living room, these villas can accommodate up to eight people.

Review of the Vacation Club presentation

by amit1anand

We had a very unpleasant experience with our Vacation Club presentation - initially we were assigned Surmed Khan (this was the name mentioned - not sure if accurate) under the Manager Randal Toribio. Mr Khan was very rude at the get go and wasn’t professional at all - he also prevented us to reach out to Manager when we were looking around for a replacement. He was disrespectful towards us - I have attached the complaint we raised against him - not sure if this reached the Vistana Management.

Vistana Resort, Orlando FL

by Excursion24417140418

I have been coming to this resort since 1980 and always stay in the Courts area. I have exchanged my unit for other timeshare but always no comparison to Vistana (original location). I have also stayed at the other location on International drive but prefer the larger original location.

Family Activities

Pools
The hotel has a total of seven pools. The Cascades Pool is especially fun for kids, with a Kids Kiosk that offers hair braiding and temporary tattoos. Other poolside perks include parties, giant Jenga or cornhole, and on select evenings, special treats like Sno-Cones!

Surrey Bikes
At the Kids' Kiosk, you'll also find Surrey Bike rentals -- a fun family activity and a great way to explore the resort. Surreys are $11 for 30 minutes on a two-seater, and $14 per 30 minutes on a four-seater.

Mini-Golf
In 2017, the hotel revamped its Animal Trax Mini Golf course, an 18-hole course with animal/safari features -- including an old Jeep! It's open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visit at night for Pajama Putt Putt -- wearing your jammies, of course! The cost is $8 per guest, $6 per timeshare owner and free for kids age 5 and under.

Escape Game
Yes, the Sheraton Vistana Resort has its own escape room! The 60-minute challenge is best for children ages 10 and up, though anyone is welcome to play. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult to participate, and up to 9 people can participate at once. Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for kids age 9 and younger.

Mermaids & Dolphins
Kids can experience what it's like to swim like a mermaid or dolphin in this experience offered by the resort! They wear a Mono fin and costume tail as they navigate the pools. Bonus -- an underwater photo is included in the cost, which is $95.

SCUBA Academy
Are your kids curious to try SCUBA diving? Let them test the waters with this program, offered in two age groups: 5 to 7 and 8 and up. Classes last 45 minutes, and start at $20 per person.

Arts and Crafts
The resort hosts arts and crafts activities weekly, with projects including sand sculptures and tie-dying shirts. Rates vary upon activity.

Tennis
The resort offers a total of 11 courts - seven clay and four hard. Kids' clinics and rental equipment are available.

Family Dining

The resort offers three onsite restaurants, all of which are accommodating to families. There are two markets on the property, as well.

Zimmie's Bar & Grill
Zimmie's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is especially popular for its breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner menus include sandwiches, salads and gourmet flatbreads. Dining hours are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the bar remaining open until midnight.

Castaways Bar & Grill
Opened in 2017, Castaways Bar & Grill features eclectic beach decor in an outdoor setting by one of the pools. It serves light bites from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Tip: Bring your camera for a photo op with the Minion statue here!

Tacky Tiki Bar & Grill
The Tacky Tiki Bar & Grill serves burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and other family favorites. Located by the Fountains and Lakes pool, it's open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. It's closed on Sunday. Villa delivery service is also available beginning at 5 p.m. -- order pizza to enjoy from the comfort of your room!

The Outpost
The Outpost serves light snacks -- salads, smoothies, ice cream and the like -- between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. It's the best place to go for a poolside treat!

The Market Place
The Market Place offers groceries -- including a full-service deli with Boars Head meats. You can also purchase Starbucks coffee drinks and souvenirs here. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Free Breakfast
Breakfast is free (for up to two adults) for each day you opt out of housekeeping service. Now THAT's a cool perk!
