Enjoy rustic comfort at the Silver Bay Inn & Resort, where families with children 12 years old and up will stay in a cabin or house with beautiful views of the lake. Explore this option if you’re planning an extended stay in the area, as there is a five-night-minimum requirement to book. The Lake Cabin, a cozy timber-framed cottage, features a loft, one double bed and two twins, and, during the summer, an additional queen bedroom on the sleeping porch. It also includes a complete kitchen, wood stove, deck chairs, hammock, and books and games. The house is similar but larger, with two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, a study, and a complete kitchen.
Onsite you’ll enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, swinging in the hammock, and sitting around a bonfire making s’mores — plus fantastic views of the lake and mountains. Nearby you’ll find restaurants and a bakery. Transportation to and from the boat landing is provided for guests arriving and departing.

We stayed here in August of 2018 for about 4 nights. On our first full day (Sunday ) we went for a hike and returned to find a note on the door saying "We took the boat into town. See you Wednesday". They left us with no landline, no cell service, no internet, and nobody to turn to. They did leave their cell number but without service what good was that? On day two we ran out of toilet paper and since the store sold only teeny packs we had to get some from the neighbors. The grill was unusable and the stove was so old we couldn't read the numbers on the dial. The lake had super tall weeds making it hard to swim. Yes, it's beautiful at Stehekin but these are not accommodations suitable for rental. When we mentioned our plight to the clerk at the only store, he commented "I'm not surprised -- have heard this about Silver Bay before".
Located on the point between Lake Chelan and the Stehekin River, this is a bit of paradise. Best location in Stehekin. Plenty of activities for the adventurous: boats, kayaks, fishing, swimming and badmitten. Great place to relax and enjoy the eagles, swallows and beavers. Great hosts who want to make your time there special. There is plenty to do if your not a hiker and just a great place to relax.
