Just north of San Diego and not too far from Orange County is Oceanside, California, a sleepy, seaside town with the same great weather and beaches found in its larger counterparts, but without the crowds. The Southern California Beach Club is located with direct beach access with room options that are friendly for families, from studios with sleeper sofas to one- and two-bedroom options with separate living and sleeping space, as well as dining areas and fully equipped kitchens. Kitchens are found in all room configurations, providing microwaves, full-sized refrigerators, oven ranges, dishwashers, coffee makers, toasters, and pots and pans. The resort offers special activities throughout the week, like discounted movie tickets for the nearby movie theater, tours to San Diego, and wine tastings. The resort is an ideal location for families seeking a beach vacation with a homey touch.

The location is amazing. You can walk to the pier or a restaurant. The staff was really great at helping with accommodations for our guest who is in a wheel chair.
The internet wasn't the greatest and cell reception in the building was sketchy but that shouldn't be a problem with a vacation at a great place.
The hot tub was well maintained. Beach cruiser bikes are available at no charge as well as beach chairs.

SCBC is also a timeshare of which my husband and I own two consecutive weeks. We have found a way to own beachfront property. When it snows in January and February at home, we have two weeks of about 70 degree weather, watching surfers. There are few crowds at the beach at this time of year. A perfect get away.
