Spring Creek Ranch is a lovely property with beautiful views of the Tetons. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, but could use some maintenance on the tub faucet and toilet. The Granary restaurant on the property is excellent with nightly entertainment. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch there. The staff are warm and very accommodating. My family booked several activities through the concierge service: the Jackson Rodeo, the covered wagon ride and BBQ dinner, and saddles and paddles (white water rafting, lunch and horseback riding). All were excellent experiences with the exception of the covered wagon ride and BBQ dinner. I do not feel the quality of the ride or the dinner were equal to the price paid, which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that, the activities were great. We used the hot tub one evening and found it to be clean and very enjoyable. Upon our departure date, we ran into trouble with our flights being canceled, and since we had booked 2 massages the day before for our departure morning, we were not able to partake in those since we had to scramble to change our flights to another airline. This stress, added to the last-minute cancellation of the spa treatments, could have certainly put a huge bruise on our vacation experience, but it was handled professionally by the hotel management. It was our first trip to Wyoming, so I do not have anything to compare to our experience, but my family enjoyed our stay at Spring Creek, and we will return.
The room furnishings and facilities were very good, and the views from every window and angle were tremendous. Everything was very clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The pool was very nice and had a poolside cabin bar. The gentleman tasked with the Jackson-bound shuttle was lovely to talk to -- very helpful, timely, and full of stories -- but the rest of the staff seemed a little confused and inept most of the time. Was our room meant to be cleaned every day? We were here for three nights but it was only cleaned once after the first night. It didn't present any problems exactly, but it was an oversight. The location is about 1.5 miles up a winding road (perfectly safe), hence the wonderful views. But it's a very simple 8 minute drive to get to/from the centre of Jackson or 15 minutes for Teton Village.
