The St. James, formerly Beachcomber Suites, is Paynes Bay’s premiere luxury hotel. Guests love the hotel for its spectacular ocean views, which allow guests to look out onto some of the most beautiful shoreline in Barbados. Though not available in all the rooms, the extraordinary view can be seen from most of the hotel’s 11 suites and studios.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and include refrigerators, room and maid service, kitchenettes, and free Wi-Fi Internet. The staff of The St. James is notably courteous to guests and are willing to accommodate any reasonable requests. They also love giving suggestions for local family fun!

While there are no onsite dining options, the hotel is located right in the heart of Paynes Bay, and is surrounded by and within walking distance of excellent restaurants, bars and shops.

We recommend this luxury hotel for families with older children, as there are no children’s programs or unique children-oriented services or accommodations.
