Ideal for families!

We had a great week at Tumbling River Ranch with our kids (13, 9, 5). Staying on a dude ranch had always been a bucket list item for us but we'd been putting it off until our kids got older. Fortunately, TRR has it down when it comes to family vacations involving kids of mixed ages. We frequently rode with the older two while the youngest enjoyed the critter pen (endless entertainment) and pony rides. Scott & Megan made it easy to do whatever we adults wanted, while always making sure the kids were well-looked after. We loved the activities - from the campfire evening, to the mountain man's stories, to the square dance and cook-outs. Food was great. One thing we had not totally appreciated was that the schools go back early August in Colorado, so there weren't as many kids around and the group was small. But on the plus side, it was more calm and relaxed. I also recommend bringing your own riding helmets as TRR don't supply. There were some low-hanging branches on the trails and my helmet saved me from nasty bruises a couple of times as well as helping overall confidence.

TRR guest ranch

This was the most fun I've had at a guest ranch in years! The staff is excellent, the food was exquisite, horses were fun to ride, cabins very comfortable and there's too much to do in one week. Very fun for non-riders as well. I'm recommending it to my friends and family and already looking forward to next summer!🐴
