Stranger Things

Late October for a couple retreat weekend. Empty hotel. Empty restaurant. Bar with 4-6 people. 4 people in the breakfast. Check out on Monday morning. Have a tee time at 10.00 for the back nine. I ask for a late check out so i can get my stuff out after the golf. Sorry, they said, the room is to be occupied. This is top client servicing. Congrats.

Portuguese Perambulation

Whilst this hotel is off the beaten track, it is well worth the journey. Superb accommodation, staff, service and location with grand countryside. The gardens too are expansive and calming. Some lovely buildings in the grounds, including the spa water house and the most delightful "Hansel & Gretal" loo! In all a most delightful place to stay. I would like to think we could go again.
