Families can spend every season in bathing suits, though if you can get the kids to dry off for a few hours, you can enjoy even more fun at theme parks and resorts in the area. Water Park Attractions
If you’re visiting Wisconsin Dells, be prepared to spend both warm and cold days in bathing suits. The area has both indoor and outdoor water parks for families to visit, all dripping with fun. Most offer other great activities and amenities, too, like lodging options and kid-friendly eateries.
Mt. Olympus Theme Park & Water Park
The 300-acre outdoor, 120,000-square-foot indoor park that is Mt. Olympus has more than 40 waterslides, plus eight go-kart tracks, seven roller coasters, a large wave pool with 9-foot waves, lazy rivers, hot tubs and areas just for little ones. Teens and kids who are tall enough can (and should!) ride the park’s upside-down wooden rollercoaster, Hades 360, for a truly thrilling experience. The park is also home to three hotels, restaurants and cafes, plus multiple concession stands.
Indoor park areas are open year-round and outdoor park areas are open seasonally. Daily admission to just the indoor/outdoor parks is $45 per person. Guests who book a stay at the onsite Mt. Olympus Resort always receive free water and theme park access during their stay.
Noah’s Ark Waterpark
Known as America’s largest water park, Noah’s Ark Waterpark is an outdoor water park spread across 70 acres with more than 80 activities for families to enjoy. Choose from rides, waterslides, pools, rivers, bumper boats, surfing experiences, arcades, a 4D dive-in theater and more. Older kids and teens will love Black Anaconda, a water coaster that reaches up to 30 miles per hour while traveling across more than a quarter-mile of slide. Little ones can splash in the Big Kahuna Kiddie Area with its many slides, swings, water cannons, and more — all geared toward and sized for the younger crowd. Noah’s Ark also has 12 eateries for snacks, meals and desserts, plus bars for adults, and onsite accommodations at the Flamingo Motel & Suites, which offers guests free tickets to the water park.
The water park is open seasonally, from May to September. Season passes start from $50 per person, though day tickets are also available.
Water Park Resorts
Besides the water parks with slides, rides and more, Wisconsin Dells is home to a number of resorts that offer their own indoor and outdoor water parks, with admission to all the rides, slides, games and activities included with your family’s stay.
Kalahari Resort Wisconsin Dells
Passes to the 125,000-square-foot indoor water park and the 77,000-square-foot outdoor water park are included with room rates at the Kalahari Resort Wisconsin Dells. Both parks include multiple slides, lazy rivers, activity pools, wave pools and more, though the outdoor area is only open seasonally. Regardless, families won’t be bored during their stay. Enjoy dry fun at the resort’s indoor theme park area, complete with a Ferris wheel, African-themed carousel, ropes course, climbing walls, go karts, and more. Bowling, mini-golf and arcade games are also available.
The resort has 750 guestrooms and suites, all of which come with mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and more. Onsite dining is easy, too, as the resort has 14 spots for snacks, drinks and family meals. Bonus: Kalahari offers special packages for families year-round, which often include meals and game tokens, on top of deluxe accommodations and water park admission (which is standard).
Great Wolf Lodge Wisconsin Dells
Enjoy water heated to 84 degrees year-round at Great Wolf Lodge Wisconsin Dells‘ indoor water park. The 80,000-square-foot area is home to 16 slides, rivers, activity pools and hot tubs. The whole family can enjoy the zero-entry wave pool, or everyone can split up and try something just for them. Little ones will love the Raccoon Lagoon, with its spray-and-play features. Kids can climb on Fort Mackenzie, a four-story water tree house located in the center of the indoor water park. Teens and adults should slide down the Howlin’ Tornado more than once for a thrilling ride.
Outside of the water park, families can enjoy activities and games like MagiQuest, the Northern Lights Arcade, and daily scheduled activities and shows, like the Great Clock Tower Show, which takes place daily at 10 a.m., and then again at 8 and 9 p.m. (Some additional fees may apply.)
The Lodge has 204 guestrooms and suites. All are decorated like log cabins and some can sleep up to six or seven guests. If you can, book a KidCabin Suite for separate sleeping areas, including fun bunk beds. All accommodations come with mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers and free Wi-Fi. Wilderness Hotel & Resort
The 600-acre resort that is the Wilderness Hotel & Resort is also America’s largest water park resort. The Wisconsin Dells property includes multiple lodging options, with water park passes for every guest included with in rates. Enjoy four indoor water parks, three outdoor water parks, a large outdoor pool area, indoor go karts, a lazer maze, a ropes course, bumper boats, mini-golf, a kids’ club, arcades and more. Our favorites include the Klondike Kavern, with its two, five-story tube slides, and the Wild WaterDome, which is home to Great Wave, America’s largest indoor wave pool. Cubby’s Cove is best for younger kids and little ones, with all of its spray-and-play features.

Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites
Book a stay at the Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites and enjoy free access to the indoor and outdoor water parks, plus indoor and outdoor pools, that are geared towards kids 11 and under. Families can also receive discounted or free passes to Noah’s Ark Waterpark at select times throughout the year.
Wintergreen Resort & Conference Center
Enjoy access to Blizzard Bay and Polar Island, the two indoor and outdoor water parks at the Wintergreen Resort & Conference Center, with your stay.
