The large deluxe guestrooms feature a king or two queen beds, a flat-screen television, coffeemaker and a wet bar with a sink and a mini-fridge. The guestrooms are best suited for families.
There are a variety of suite options available at the Woodcliff, most of which are bi-level suites. The suites feature a large, separate living room area with a large dining table; wet bar with a sink, mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker; and a powder room. The bedroom area features a king bed and both rooms feature a flat-screen television. Some of the suites feature a balcony overlooking Bristol Hills and some also feature a spiral staircase to reach the second level of the suite. While the suites are spacious they are best for couples or maybe two adults and one child.
I am a frequent local guest at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. I took an out-of-town business colleague to dinner at their "fine dining" establishment, Horizons, on Wednesday night. I tried to use the valet parking, but there was no attendant for the 8 minutes I waited (and there were a dozen guests waiting for their rides). I told the host about the situation and he acted as if he were not empowered to do anything about it.
There were only 4 tables seated in the dining room at 8:15 p.m., but it still took 15 minutes to get our drinks once we placed our orders. When our colleague asked what non-alcoholic beverage they had, our server said, "I'm sorta new, I don't know." We told her to go ask.
She came back to take our orders and said, "What can I GRAB you tonight?" It lacked class, finesse and showed she wasn't trained. The other male waiter was fraternizing with the other guests as if he were sitting at the table as just another (very loud) guest. This went on for 15 minutes during our dinner. It was obvious there was no oversight of the serving staff.
I called the Manager of Food & Beverage the next morning. He was in, but too busy to take my call. As of 24 hours later, he still has not bothered to return my call.
We stayed for the weekend when my daughter got married and absolutely loved this hotel! The wedding party had the most gorgeous suites for preparing for the special day and Sunday brunch after the wedding was delicious!! I will stay here again whenever the opportunity arises!!
The large, seasonal outdoor pool offers great views of the rolling hills of upstate New York while swimming. It is surrounded by a pretty patio that features plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is also an elevated pool deck for even more lounging space. Next to the pool is a pretty pond and gazebo where weddings often take place.
The heated, indoor pool is available year-round. It is situated near the fitness center and just inside from the outdoor pool. Lounge chairs surround the pool deck and pool towels are provided.

The restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Best Time to Visit
Rochester is a four-season vacation destination. There is skiing in the winter months and beaches and outdoor activities in the summer months. Rochester sees warm temperatures in the summer months and does see snow in the colder months, but it does not have constant or frequent extreme snowfalls in the winters.
Located in upstate New York, Rochester is about 90 minutes from Niagara Falls, less than four hours from Toronto, and about six hours from New York City. The Greater Rochester International Airport is located about 20 minutes from this hotel.
Families need a vehicle to explore much of Rochester and when staying at the Woodcliff, as it is situated outside of the center of town.
The onsite spa is an excellent place for adults to unwind and relax after a long day of travel, hitting the ski slopes or the hiking trails. There are a variety of body treatments, massages and facials to enjoy.
The onsite bar, Horizons Lounge, is located within the restaurant and offers plenty of lounge seating. It offers live music on select nights and great views.
The nearby nine-hole, USGA golf course is a perfect spot for a two-hour game. The hotel is happy to set up a tee time.
