After quite a bit of research to find a hotel that we would like we finally chose the Grand Palladium! Our family absolutely loved our stay. We went in late March and was certain we would run into Spring Breakers, however to our delight we had no
more +problems with noise, or drunk kids. The long drive from the airport is worth it, the hotel is beautiful. The grounds are kept very clean. My only complaint was the *system* for eating was not explained very well to us, food was only available at certain times. It took us a few days to figure out the lay of the property. The buffet was edible, however it was the same every night - and I was so disappointed to be in Mexico & not have Mexican food. Another problem I had was we were on the 3rd floor, and there are only stairs, after a few days of this, my legs were killing me.
We stayed for 7 nights. At first, we found this resort a little overwhelming, and it took us a couple of days to find our way around and figure out the food situation.I feel this should have been explained to us at little better or at least had some brochures in the room regarding this.
There are many different pools including a beautiful, salt water pool. Even during this busy time, we never had trouble finding great chairs by the pool or water. We were upset to find out the last day, that there were also pedal boats, catamarans, and kayaks for us to use.
This resort is very clean and they have done a very nice job of preserving the flora and fauna. We saw a lot of wildlife while we were there and the flowers and natural plants were amazing. The staff were somewhat friendly and helpful, if you had tips in hand.
The food was good, but not great overall. The buffet seemed to be the best for breakfast, although they were all similar. If you want hot food, you will need to wait in line for a few minutes for an omelette.
One of the highlights of the trip was an excursion we planned thru a travel agency on the property, it was a trip to Tulum Ruins, and Xel-ha, I recommend this to anyone in this area, it was unreal & one of the neatest things we have ever done.
I would consider going back, since we now know the lay of the property, It was very confusing the first few days.

We couldn't believe the size of this place when we arrived. It is huge and that is an understatement. We loved that it was so large, however. We like to walk around and also love long walks on the beach.
Our room was comfortable. We
more +had two double beds and a nice sized bathroom. My kids loved the jetted tub. That was a favorite for sure.
The grounds are beautiful and lush and the little one liked looking at all of the different species of plants/animals.
The restaurants had food for adults as well as kids. We never had a problem finding something they liked.
As far as kid activities. They have a kids club and do different things with the kids. They take them on scavenger hunts, sand castle building, etc. Also, they offered a club right on the beach where the kids can play on an outdoor playset, or go indoors and play games, etc. They also have crafts, etc. for kids. They really know how to keep them engaged.
The pools are nice, but they only had a little hot tub sized pool for kids and it was too shallow. I would have rather had a zero depth entry pool for the kids. Also, the pools were chilly, but that could have to do with it being chillier than usual when we were there. That didn't matter much though because we are ocean people.
The ocean here is AMAZING. The kids could occupy themselves all day just here at the beach and ocean. Riding the waves, building sand castles, etc. They loved it. Also, we walked down a bit and found many sea shells, which they also loved.
It was a great place to go and spend family time and can't wait to do it again.
