Nice stay...

by Janet W

We were in town for business so stayed one night. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. I was checked in within 5 minutes. Room was clean beds were comfortable. We didn't get time to eat at the hotel but our stay was as we expected for a Holiday Inn.
Thanks!

Probably the worst Holiday Inn we have stayed in

I think we had the "forgotten" room. We requested a room on the ground floor, which we got - however, it overlooked a patio area with tables and chairs, so we had to keep the curtains closed to avoid having people staring into our room. The lighting was dim - yellowish - which made the room very uninviting. We did not have a booklet with info on the hotel amenities, nor did we have any bathroom amenities in the room when we arrived. After I contacted the desk, we got shampoo, etc. Housekeepers did not clean our room at all one day - another day we didn't get washcloths for two people. One day the housekeeper came in while we were there and tossed the pillows on the floor (with the pillow cases on) to make the bed. Not very appealing. We requested a refrigerator (actually we expected one to be in the room, but were told they were only provided on request) - but we had to ask twice to have one delivered. We were given vouchers for the breakfast buffet - I ate there the first day early because I had to leave for a meeting, but the food and service were pretty poor. My husband went in 15 minutes before the buffet was supposed to close, and was told the buffet was closed. He ordered from the menu and it took 40 minutes for them to serve him French Toast and bacon. We were told part way thru our stay that the hotel had been sold, so maybe that's why the service and room were so terrible... but it reflected VERY POORLY on Holiday Inn. I am an Elite member, so Holiday Inns are typically our hotel of choice.
