Great boutique hotel

This is a beautiful historic boutique hotel. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Enjoy a drink at the beautifully decorated bar, or dine at the great restaurant by the water. Great staff.

Pampered in Almost Heaven.................

by Tim B

The change from our pre-booked appartment, which we refused on the spot, to the Admirals Inn, remembered from the preps but not booked as "beyond our league" whilst happy it was low season, is not to be described...............: from a sh-place to almost heaven :)

The welcome, the treats by Shama, Montana, Cecil & Jason, Reggie, Nicole and all others: most pleasant, with a smile, relaxed and to cut the long story short: making you feel King & Queen.

OK; fair to say one would not expect less for such a price, the treats were as they should be but these people, without turning plastic, are genuinely hospitable, friendly, helpful, caring.........

Delicious breakfasts (I personally appreciated the scarmbled eggs with avocado)
Wonderful treats at the Pool @ the Gunpowder Suites
Mesmersing boat trips to the Galleon Beach
No TV in the room (excellent)
Deicious lunches and dinners :)
and yes: nice GT's

Nothing to be improved? ...yes !
And this apllies to our views and experiences also for 3 star facilities.......
Whilst contributing ourselves to the environment (solar panels, energy saving lights, watersaving shower etc etc, the shower in room 1 was really substandard, and we are affraid it counts for all rooms.
A shower must be realxing, and not trying to catch water.
Having learnt about the water problems on Antigua, and having learnt about the effects of the Admiral's Inn on the English Harbour Area as such (realy admirable as it boosted the area due the lasting engagement) the Admiral's Inn is seriously advised doing a larger investment here.
* when no bidet is available, there must be a showerhead with a hose
** shower pressure =also for water saving facilities= can be improved by hydrophore pumps (best quality and prices in Poland) or better adjustable showerheads.
Staff kindly looked into the matter, but the improvement was rather minimal.

To emphasise: the waterpressure issue did not spoil the stay (4 nights), but this part of experience does not evaporate; yet above all, the staff's treats and aptitudes are laudable...................

Big chance we will return, to feel King & Queen again
and check on the shower :)

PS Reggie: Shama now also prepares a rather nice GT with strawberry mash..........
