Overview

People come to Alaska to be different, so why not join in? Alaska’s Point of View Suites offers several family-friendly options, but you will want to go directly to the cleverly refurbished WWII quonset huts. They’ve come a long way since the 1940s. The two quonset huts now each house a queen bed, sleeper sofas, full kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living rooms. It’s quite the experience to say you slept in one of these things. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, BBQ, TV and washer/dryer — not to mention dozens of wild bunnies frolicking in the grass outside your hut. Who doesn’t love bunnies?

The Alaska’s Point of View Suites is located in the heart of downtown Seward, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The waterfront is a few blocks away, where you’ll find the famed Alaska Sealife Center, the state’s biggest and best aquarium. Plan a thrilling adventure to Kenai Fjords National Park and the nearby glaciers by hiring any of the guided tour operators that you’ll find all around Seward. Ask for recommendations from your friendly innkeeper, who is happy to help. For its unique accommodations and convenient location, the Alaska’s Point of View Suites is a fun choice for your family vacation in Seward.

Love, love, love this place!!!

by mustangjeanne

If I were to ever adventure back to Seward, I would book the Moonshine Quonset hut again. It was spectacular! Debra made my stay perfect. The location and views were beyond my expectations. The hut has everything you could ever need, including free parking at your front door. It was comfortable and very quiet. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the massage chair was the perfect ending for my busy days. There is a washer and dryer that I used for a mere $5 charge (you had to leave money as it was on the honor system).
I recommend this place highly!!

Loved our stay here

We loved our 2 nights in the full suite. It had tons of room, a great balcony and lots of charm. Debra went above and beyond, picking us (and our luggage) up the morning we arrived, allowed us to leave our bags after checkout, and let us use the laundry machines. Good location close to downtown. Would definitely stay again.
