Reviews

nice location, bad condition

by sonjadahlgren

The location of this hotel is in a nice quiet area with a short tram ride to university and downtown. However, regardless of its very very high pricing, it is barely average in style. The room had a lot of cement dust behind the bed which I assume could have been behind the dizzy feeling and bloated face within the hotel, disappearing outside. The hotel has been under renovation but seems like no-one told the workers or management that you're supposed to clean up afterwards. The room was generally also dusty and very basic, and bathroom water damaged and smelled of mould. Unfortunately this might still be among the best in Tucson which is reflected in the price, as most of the hotels receive very bad reviews and seem tired and basic. At least there were no visible creatures in the room which is a plus.

Every Aloft I’ve been to has the same concept. Simple with no frills. The location is excellent if you’re visiting the University. A short 5 minute walk. There’s a bar downstairs that gets really busy. Underground parking, coffee maker, iron, mini frig. I enjoyed the rooms facing the mountains.
