The Alta Peruvian Lodge is another traditional European-style lodge. The 80 guestrooms come with 1950’s-era pink sinks, bath tiles and other fixtures and are quite retro. Although on the smaller side, and with no TV’s, the rooms are still as cute as they can be.
The lodge has an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, free movies with popcorn on a nightly basis, and Milano cookies in your room every night. Complimentary hot chocolate is served throughout the day, too.
Meals in the atrium-style restaurant are included in your room rate. Breakfast is buffet style, lunch is casual, and dinner is served family-style. That means you might be sharing a table with others, which is a great way to get to know other guests at the lodge. The restaurants at the Peruvian are the only ones at Alta with a full liquor license.

Another wonderful stay at the Peruvian - gracious accommodating staff with a can do attitude! Staying at the Peruvian is like returning home, the welcoming and friendly staff are like long lost friends. Meals are communal with the opportunity to meet other guests and share the secrets of skiing Alta. Great location, value, and food with a true opportunity to experience Alta.

Old school ski lodge, lots of character, friendly and helpful staff, large and comfortable lobby featuring a big fireplace and board games, good food in the dining room, dining is family style with other guests at large tables, convenient van shuttle to Collins lift or Albion, or Snowbird, whenever needed. Most guests are loyal year after year repeat guests. Small bar upstairs is fun and a local aprés ski favorite. Outdoor hot tub and heated pool also fun. Staff has been there for years and years, once you’re hooked it’s hard not to keep going back. If you want rustic old school ski lodge charm, a stay at the Peruvian is a bucket list item for sure.
