Overview

Sitting on the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest and near the tallest cascading waterfall in the Southeast is the Amicalola Falls Lodge. The Lodge’s standard guestrooms include king beds, two queens, junior suites, and loft rooms. Enjoy Wi-Fi (spotty in some rooms), a flat-screen TV, and wowza views of the North Georgia Mountains.

Upgrade to one of many cabins that offer one-, two, or three-bedrooms and are like small homes. The cabins are loaded in a full kitchen, heating and air conditioning, decks, fireplaces and flat-screen TVs. The cabins are clustered at the Wooded Mountain Top and the second at Creek Side. Each location is just steps from trails and the beautiful waterfalls.

The property does not have a fitness center or a pool, but does have camp sites. The onsite Maple Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Lodge activities include 3D archery, zip lines, a climbing wall, guided hikes, GPS scavenger hunts, birds of prey program, a guided fitness trail run, fire pit stories, and a class on how to use a GoPro camera. The daily lodge fee includes: Wi-Fi in lobby – not reliable in rooms, two bottles of water in guestroom, and a State Park pass.

Mountain Cove Farms Resort is 70-miles to Atlanta, 87-miles to Chattanooga, TN.

Reviews

Nice location

by Firewalker918

The lodge is awesome and in great spot on the mountain. While the lobby and halls look old and tired the rooms look to have been recently renovated. the rooms are small and the beds are full size not queen or king.
The bathroom was updated nicely, just small.
The door to the room has to be pushed to close and lock. The paint in the ceiling is peeling and we had ladybugs in the room.
I have stayed in worse but I really expected better.

very nice hotel

the hotel has been recently renovated and is great - rooms in good repair, comfortable beds, very quiet, and views that cannot be beat. Parking is easy. The lobby is very busy, but once you get away from that it is quiet.
