Great views and fine dining!

by Karl G

This is my second stay at Andino Club Hotel - the first was in 2016. The staff are friendly and very helpful - many are long time exployees. The menu may not change, but the kitchen is excellent - and this is one of very few hotels in Peru where you can trust the fresh produce and salads, and fruit juices. There is a cozy bar. The breakfast buffet is fine - warm items such as eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes, along with cereals, yogurt and fruit, plus the usual Euro-style cheeses, breads and cold cuts. The rooms are very clean and furnished practically. Internet/wifi is fine. Cable TV is fine, although only limited English (CNN). The location could be a plus or minus, depending on the reason for your visit. It is up a hill from Plaza de Armes, so if several block of uphill walking to get back to the hotel is an issue, you can flag down a taxi. The location provides spectacular views of the major Cordillera Blanca peaks to the north. The hotel is simply a welcoming oasis in Huaraz. Yes, it is higher priced than many hotels in Huaraz , but it is good value.

This independent hotel is a jewel in Huaraz, Peru. The views from the balconies in each room given unparalleled panoramic of the mountains. This is my 2nd stay and the rooms are all clean and bright. The dining room is excellent and the Swiss influence of the operators is appreciated. this is a most stay when in n Huaraz.
