Visit the Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge for hiking and bird watching. You’ll likely see chipmunks, birds, wild turkeys, frogs and more during your time in the outdoor area, though feeding the animals is not allowed. Be sure to hike the Wild Birds Nature Trail, which is 1.2 miles through wooded and beach areas in the refuge. The visitors’ center hosts family-friendly activities like arts and crafts on Saturdays during the summer months.

The Refuge is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Admission is $4 per vehicle and $2 per bicycle or per person (if walking into the area).
