This 3,200-square-foot museum features artifacts, model railroads, pictures and more from Florida’s railroads. The Lakes Park & Gulf Railroad is an eighth scale railroad that travels through the north end of the park past villages, towns, bridges and tunnels. The museum is open rain or shine but the train may not operate in bad weather. The museum operates seven days a week with special events around holidays, such as the Easter Bunny Express, American Liberty Express, Halloween Express and Holiday Festival of Lights. Trains leave the station every 20 to 30 minutes.
