You don’t have to leave the U.S. for an all-inclusive family vacation! Consider a stay at Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch in Parshall, Colorado. Accommodations, meals and activities are included in rates. And activities there are, with kids’ programming, horseback riding, fishing, zip-lining, and more included in one, easy price. Offsite excursions such as hot air balloon rides, whitewater rafting and trips to Rocky Mountain National Park can be arranged, too.

Note that Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch does not provide alcohol or soft drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own!

This was our first trip to a dude ranch and did not know what to expect. This trip met every expectation and more. Most impressed with the activities for all regardless of your age. You can keep as busy as you want or just stay back and read a book on the banks of the Colorado River. Their was a great variety of food, and numerous menu items. Our grandchildren, ages 5-14, captured their own table, ordered their food, made their waffles, or grabbed their cereal! A fabulous bell rings 30 minutes before meals, and they loved this! I can't say enough about the owners and staff and their commitment to excellence. No TV or cell service to speak of - we did not miss it! The kids show and staff show was so much fun! Also our line dancing evening kept the WHOLE family on the floor until late!! They loved every minute of being a part of this experience, and are already planning our next visit. Thank you Bar Laz J for the experience of a lifetime - it brought us closer together as a family!!
This was truly a great western retreat to ride horses, meet people and forget about your usual worries. With a large herd over 100, they could find the right horse for everyone, including a few gaited horses for those that like to specialize. The rides had great diversity and beautiful scenery.
The cabins were cosy and comfortable. The owners were hands-on people that made sure everything ran well. I'm looking forward to a return visit.
