Formerly the Occidental Grand Aruba, the all-inclusive Barcelo Aruba sits on beautiful Palm Beach in Aruba. Rooms come in categories ranging from standard to two-bedroom ocean front suites. Six restaurants offer a myriad of cuisines, including Caribbean and Asian. The resort has a large lagoon-style swimming pool with a man-made rock waterfall. Barcelo also holds a kids’ club for children ages 4 to 10.

This is my second time staying at this resort. My first was when it was Occidental in 2016. And this is my first since it was changed to Barcelo. The Barcelo switch is sooo much better. I would HIGHLY ADVISE to book in the Royal Club for the premium drinks and service. Most of the staff was very accommodating and nice. When I arrived to my room , it was clearly newly renovated but it didn’t have the cable wall jack for the TV. However the staff was quick to get the maintenance man to fix it. The food still needs work.. breakfast is amazing in the Buffett but Lunch and Dinner In the buffet is not too good. I would advise to bring extra cash because they have some nice restaurants around Aruba.
I can not stress enough, how much I love this resort!
Special thanks to Sandra Steba in Royal Club guest services. The housekeeping department staff were wonderful; room was impeccably cleaned.
Beach as always, was fantastic! Victor’s service on the beach kept the drinks flowing. Jaison kept the place alive unlike other resorts where it’s quiet and boring. Definitely returning to Barcelo, already planning our next trip!
