Stayed there 3 nights, 3rd floor at rear of building. Quiet apart from continous sound of what must be A/C on roof that had a rattle. No ducted A/C in room, but a seperate heater/cooler that woke up the dead when cut in / out. All amenities dated but good. Bed comfortable, but an ajoining room isn't a favourite of ours. Man next door spoke so loud on phone he didnt need a phone, had to resort to security to come and intervene at 11 pm. That service was prompt. Desk staff were prompt. Dumpster bins out back were emptied at dawn.
Stayed here for 6 nights, spacious rooms, area quiet and nice and easily accessible to the West Lake (Pine and Pike) the shopping district by MonoRail about a 3- 4 minute walk.
Space Needle and its allied attractions a walking distance.
However, what i did not like was the attitude of particular staff who were outright curt and rude.
1) Jasmine - i requested her while going out if she can just reconfirm with the cleaning staff that they tidy up my room, she said she cannot call them, they will do what they have to do as long as the do not disturb sign is out, all i requested was for her to make sure my room number would be tidied up by the time i got back, guess too much of an effort, i get in US , do not expect any service like in Asia, but this was just a call.
2) On the check out day, as i did not have a room i just wanted any space for 5 - 7 mins to conduct my prayers, Isaac the man on duty just plainly refused that there is no place available to grant me the request, i just said ok and sat at the lobby.
The silver lining on both of the instances above was Mr Cody Arakawa, when Jasmine was away from the desk i again requested Mr Arakawa to reconfirm of tidying up the room and he immediately made sure it was communicated to the housekeeping staff, how difficult was that.
Also, when Mr Isaac was away from the desk, requested a quiet room for my prayers 5 -7 mins, it was Mr Arakawa who found me a place and told me for 5 -7 mins no one will disturb you, it was not difficult Mr Isaac instead of being curt and rude to me and please be sensitised to issues as thses, if Mr Arakawa wen out of his way, im sure you could have, or you do not understand the meaning of hospitality.
