Checked in to this property based on the website. True they are on the ocean but you can’t see it it is across the street. I get thAt. The room had a peculiar odor from the start. It never went away even as we ran the a/c. The bathroom was well equipped and clean. The towels were stiff and thin. The tv was worthless. It received one channel. It was a rainy evening so couldn’t be outside and there wasn’t a lot to do.
We just returned from our belated Summer vacation in Cape May and I needed to hop on and leave my review about where we stayed - The Capri! The Capri is located on Beach Ave in Cape May, which is the only thing that separates you from the beach. When making the reservations, I had requested an oceanfront room and we were not disappointed! When we walked in to our room, the first thing that struck us was how immaculate everything was. Top of refrigerator, lamp shades - SPOTLESS! The room was nicely decorated with a beach theme - actual nice decor - not just junk thrown around. The bed was beyond comfortable - a shore rarity and plenty of closets and space. The Capri has a nice pool - 4ft is the deepest (it's "Peg-friendly" for me, as I don't know how to swim, lol), shuffleboard, ping pong and two large and clean BBQ grills! Forget your beach chairs and/or umbrella? Not a problem, The Capri has you covered! We will definitely stay here again! As an aside, our friends stayed in one of the Capri's townhouses, which they loved! We saw it and it was stunning! Two floors, three bedrooms and three baths! Not too shabby!
