TripAdvisor Rating

Located in the famous White Mountains of New Hampshire, Carlson’s Lodge puts families close to outdoor adventures — skiing, snow tubing, zip-lining and more — at Bretton Woods (and beyond).

The budget-friendly hotel provides cozy rooms with one queen or two double beds, as well as rooms that include kitchenettes with mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, toasters and two-burner stove tops. All kitchenettes are conveniently equipped with cookware, as well. Be sure to consider the Two Room Family Suite, which is two connecting rooms — one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds. All accommodations are equipped with free Wi-Fi. A communal refrigerator and microwave are available for those who don’t have in-room kitchenettes.

Family-friendly perks at Carlson’s Lodge include a living room for families to relax in; a game room with Ping-Pong and pool tables; an outdoor, seasonal swimming pool; and a playground. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast and free parking. Ask about massage services and guided hikes.

Nice Stay

by jeannette1789

Family owned hotel that has been modernized...large clean rooms, security is paramount here. Breakfast is on the sparse side but plenty hot food. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Perfect home base for White Mt activities

by Hikeshighandlow

I usually camp, but several times in the cooler seasons I've stayed at Carlson's. The place is old-fashioned (not for you if you think only the newest of anything is best!) and comfortable. The family running it is super friendly & helpful. It's located at the hub of roads that will take you to many parts of the White Mts. And the spectacular view of the Twin Mountains is just the icing on the cake.
