Another amazing vacation!

by Vanmacindonk

I have been to the Dominican Republic many times to many different resorts, but this one I keep returning to. This place is incredible. The staff are SO friendly. From the moment you walk into the reception area. Being greeted by John Cena with a big smile along with the many helpful and happy reception staff. Iris is always happy to help with room requests and she is an amazing lady. The men who help you with your bags and make sure you are comfortable. Animation staff Gabriel, 50 Cent, Isaac, Chiuauha and the others and the 3 friendly animation girls. We played a lot of fun games with them and they Always greet you with a huge smile and hugs. They are amazing young men and woman with so much energy and they make everyone feel welcome and cared for. Bartenders Virginia and Joshua and so many others are all good at their trade and fun to be with. hostesses and wait staff who greet you daily with a huge smile and hola. The housekeeping staff always smile and joke with us. Everyone is also honest and trustworthy. The service and friendliness are second to none and keep us returning again and again. The renovations are amazing!!! SO beautiful! The food is great from the egg and pasta stations to the fresh breads and salads and 🍕 pizza and chicken and carving stations of roast pork (so tender) and beef and fish! So many good foods and too numerous to mention them all. I can honestly say the beds are the most comfortable of ALL the resorts I have ever been to! The pools and 3 jacuzzis over looking the sea are amazing with some of the best views I’ve ever seen. The drinks are real good and served with a smile every time. I always enjoy the sandy beach and clear clean water. The entertainment at night is always fun and they do an excellent job. There is entertainment now near the lobby in the evening and we saw some very talented 1 and 2 person shows. We loved the a la carte restaurants! They go above and beyond to please us. Our friends celebrated their anniversary and they made them a very delicious cake And sang to them! The food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the chicken wing appetizers and ribs in the Mexican restaurant and the lasagna in the Italian. The desserts are great too! I simply cannot say enough good about the Casa Marina Reef and Beach resort. Oh and they have a beautiful new spa too!!! The whole resort literally glows they work so hard to keep it spotlessly clean. Always keeping things in good repair and fresh paint etc. All the hard working staff make this an EXCELLENT resort! We just returned home from a two week visit and I’m hoping to return with my daughter and grandchildren and definitely will return with my husband. I hope to stay longer next time! So many people return to this resort and there is a good reason for it. GREAT JOB to all the staff at Casa Marina! Can’t wait to see you again soon!!! Janet MacIntyre.

A pleasant surprise

by MVTaylor

My Friends and I wanted a inexpensive vacation away from the long winter after some research we booked the casa marina. The reviews were mixed but we were pleasantly surprised. The lobby had been recently renovated also all restaurants and buffet all clean and modern. We were also fortunate to be assigned to a renovated room .The room was small but large enough for three.Be advised that even though you book a triple room you only get two double beds they do not provide cots.Housekeeping did a great job always fresh towels and water replenished daily. The food was usual buffet offerings plenty to choose from not much variety from day to day lots of fruit and vegetables buffet can be really busy in the am . The Mexican and seafood were good the Italian service was terrible food was fine. The bar service was good no long waits and drinks were strong .We did use the pools a couple of days no problem finding a chair pools were clean Our favorite was the Beach small but beautiful crystal clear water no rocks coral or seaweed but always wavy and red flagged some days but staff very diligent in keeping swimmers out of the water when unsafe be aware you have to pay for shade umbrellas are $3 .Wifi is good but again you pay for the service . This is a great little resort in Sousa you can easily walk around the town and explore wouldn’t recommend doing this at night. I would definitely return again and recommend it’s s 3 star but I have stayed st 4 that would compare.Customer service could use some work but it would not prevent us from returning
