Overview

Treat your little princes and princesses to the vacation of a lifetime with a stay at a 1,000-year-old castle hotel in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy. Castello di Ristonchi is actually more of a village than a traditional hotel, with some 30 private accommodations scattered across the property that range from studios to two-bedroom apartments, all of which have their own private kitchens and, of course, bathrooms. And while there’s no Wi-Fi or TVs in the accommodations, there’s no time for vacationing families to get bored here, either, with castle activities that include pizza nights where you’ll learn to toss your own pies, pasta-making classes, hiking trails, horseback riding, pottery classes and much, much more.

Incredible Castello - Perfect for Wedding!

by whereissvets

We hosted a wedding of almost 90 guests (ages 6 months to almost 90) from 7 countries and couldn't have asked for a more perfect location & incredible team to pull it off while meeting our budget. The scenery is stunning with breathtaking sunsets; the Castello is rustic and charming; the food was delicious and accommodating to various dietary restrictions; the activities were plentiful.

Stefanie & Rasmus are kind, resourceful, and flexible - they helped us secure magnificent vendors, plan activities for our guests (including building us giant jenga & corn hole!!), and come up with alternatives when the rain came on our wedding day.

The apartments had comfortable beds, linens, and many had views onto the Tuscan hills. The apartments were equipped with their own bathrooms and kitchens ready for use (fridge, sink, stove, utencils, etc) although our guests had limited use for the kitchens as we supplied the bulk of the meals.

We made many memories here that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Wedding

My wife and I rented the entire place for our wedding. The rooms are a bit rustic, but every guest we had said they loved it. Multiple family members said it was the best wedding they'd ever attended (thanks to my wife's planning, the scenery, excellent food, and caring hosts). I recommend a wedding planner to help coordinate the various vendors that Stefanie and Rasmus are in touch with. Great hiking and biking in the area as well. No one was bored at all over the course of 3.5 days.

10/10 would trust again with my wedding.
