This Catalonian-named hotel in the heart of Madrid is a great choice for families because there are family rooms with bunk beds for the kids! There’s also a suite with two patios, one of which has a full-size hot tub outside! All rooms have free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a mini-bar, private bathrooms, TV with international channels, and access to the rooftop seasonal pool offering remarkable views of the Spanish capital. Cribs and extra beds are available upon request and pets are welcome here, too. The Catalonia Gran Via isn’t cheap, but if you want luxury in central Madrid, welcome to your home away from home.

Stayed here for four nights and was very satisfied. The location was excellent for the 3 main art galleries, the archaeological museum and also for the beautiful Retiro Park where there are several cafes where you can get a quick snack and take a break in the sun. The rooms were comfortable and surprisingly quiet and tea and coffee making facilities were a bonus. Good varied breakfast, though the seating was a little crowded when everyone came down at once! Staff very helpful and polite.
Located in dowtown Madrid with extremely easy access to a myriad of shops, restaurants, squares and markets. There is an excellent grocery around the corner(Dia) where you can buy four ice cream bars for one euro. The same box sells for $5.25(3.75 euros) in Toronto That gives you an idea of their pricing. The staff is extremely helpful and the chambermaids work fast and efficient. You can sit in their comfortable lounge with full view of the street Gran Via and order from one of the two restaurants and one bar.
