First trip to ZIon

by CruiserFam

This was our first time in the Southwest and the Cliffrose made a great introduction. We had a 2 br suite for our family of 4. Kids shared the back bedroom/full bath which had 2 full/queen beds, and we had the front king/bath suite. Full kitchen/dishwasher/microwave/fridge (no oven) was very handy. K-cup machine with cups provided; one time we were missing a can opener and called the front desk, who ran it over within 2 minutes! Back deck had a gas grill, came in very handy.

The Virgin river is right in the backyard and there were floats available, and a fantastic swing rope into a deep part. 2 pools are on the property, a smaller kiddie pool and a larger 4-8ft deep pool. They are in separate areas , and each has a hot tub. Grounds are really well kept.

Proximity to Zion is the logical reason to book here - we walked the 0.5 miles to the park for evening hikes, and the shopping area just outside the parks had everything we needed (basic grocery staples, outfitter for canyoneering/hydration packs/etc, brewery).

We will be back, and we will unequivocally recommend to our friends/families. Great for basically everyone - families, active seniors, 20 somethings, etc.

Downsides: Cannot really think of any. Because of proximity to park, it is a longer walk into town I suppose.

Our family loved this stunning resort in the base of the canyon. We hiked right into the park, enjoyed afternoons at the pool and took advantage of nearby restaurants to order food which we enjoyed on the pretty patio. Friendly and accommodating staff. Just beautiful!
