So disappointing

by Judy-Paringa

Resort was very good but almost all of the guests were French speaking so the Kids Club was conducted in French - and it would have been almost impossible to have 2 English speakers with them, a girl of 11 and boy of 12, so they did not attend. It was the main reason for us to take an expensive holiday at Club Med so the kids would have organised entertainment but it didn't work out. The Chief of the village admitted that the most English they have had this year is 100 - and yet the Algarve in Portugal is very English. Extremely disappointing. All that said, the food, cleanliness and accommodation were excellent including provision for a baby - although getting around a split level resort with a pushchair proved to be a challenge

Lovely location with lots of buts....

We have been to about 10 different clubmeds around the world and must say, this one was one of the lowest rating for us in terms of the ambiance and infrastructure. We just didn't feel the usual ClubMed spirit and though the GOs were not mean, they were just not as present and friendly as they usually are at the clubs. Perhaps due to the fact that this club was about to close for the season in 3 weeks' time.
Positive points: Amazing & clean beach, wide variety of food for lunch & dinner buffets, good room size & bed, clean, Family size toiletries provided in the bathroom
Negative points: Not much to do on rainy days, breakfast buffet was repetitive, poor pillows quality. Our rooms were in Lisboa building and we woke up every morning at 7;30 am by delivery trucks then with cooking smells at 8. Should definitely invest in good ventilation of the balcony doors on this side of the building.
