Club Med’s Finolhu Villas recently unveiled brand new eco-friendly nature villas. The resort, situated on the private island of Gasfinolhu in the Indian Ocean, is dedicated to preserving the delicate ecosystem that surrounds the island. The villas are built on stilts over a clear, calm 12-acre lagoon. Each villa provides direct ocean access, a private pool, and a furnished terrace. Kids will love the transparent bottomed kayaks and the sailing school. The Motu, the Kandu, and the Velhi restaurants provide a variety of Asian and international dishes. High Expectations were all met!

by Martin S

We had high expectations and everyone was met staying in the sunrise overwater bungalows. We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and loved waking up to the most amazing view and reef sharks and stingrays swimming by. The restaurant was fantastic for lunch and dinner and you could have breakfast in you room. We enjoyed having the floating .
breakfast in our private pool . The perfect instragram shot! Lol.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The entertainment was just right for an adult only honeymoon resort. Not overwhelming but light hearted and relaxing.
The resort is only 5 years old and the decor and furnishings are to a high standard and very tasteful.
Congratulations club med on a fantastic resort. Highly recommend anyone looking for a romantic getaway with a lot of fun available if you want i

Wow Wow Wow - thank you amazing

by Andrew M

We have just returned from 6 nights at this place we called paradise. As my title says - Wow Wow Wow, - was truly magical for us.

The minute you step off the boat onto this island you are looked after by amazing staff. Every employee you speak with or walk past are very polite, helpful and fantasic at their jobs.Full credit to Resort manager Katy on having such excellent staff.

Katy herself is amazing at her role and is very hands on and you will see her everyday whilst she is on duty. Katy will always make time at dinner to come and speak to you to see how your day was, she speaks with every guest wherever possible. Amazing lady and you can see why the resort runs so smoothly and why staff are so happy. She loves her singing and dancing as well :)

Boat trip from Airport too island is approx 30 minutes and was very enjoyable.

Check in was very simple and great staff to deal with - reception staff such as Alexa (also a GO) are beautiful and cannot do enough for you.

We stayed in a overwater bungalow with pool and wow, we did not want to leave this place after 6 days. We stayed in sunrise and glad we did as it gets the sun for most of the day and your pool is warm from mid morning on well into the night.

The view from your pool out over the water is amazing, sit in your pool with a beverage and watch sharks, stingrays and fish just glide by. Then step down off your villa into the crystal clear warm water and swim with them. No need to be afraid as they are not interested in you and will swim away if you get too close. Most of the time the water is only knee to waist height.

Villas are great, very spacious, separate lounge room (we never even used room), large bathroom, outside area with sunbed, bathtub and shower, Main bedroom large king bed - very comfortable, views straight over decking with outdoor dining table, pool and sunbed. Great area we spent most of our time on. Rooms cleaned twice a day so no issues about it not being tidy or not having clean towels etc - cleaner was great at his job so thank you

To have such a fantastic butler like we did (Jinah - thank you) was a blessing. This young man could not do enough for us and when he got caught up with other guests etc would always track us down to apologise and see what he could do for us. Was a great young man and it was a pleasure to get to know him. Had my ice bucket in room every afternoon and if I had beers in the fridge he would even have them on ice for me - what a man. Also booked us onto tours and me into island doctor when I hurt my knee. thanks Dr Solomon also.

5-10 minute walk from Villa to Bar/pool or restaurant areas.

Pool area is quiet most of time even though it is nice area with great views. Bar also quite area majoirty of the time, staff such as Nakke, Sabin and Jai look after you very well. Service is first class - thanks gents.

Restaurant is the only one on the island - again great views over the water, sit by and watch sharks, fish and stingrays swim by as you eat.

A la carte menu though - Breakfast menu is quite good and caters for most nationalities, breads/pastries etc are so fresh and divine.

We only had lunch once and that was first day when we arrived. We were too full from Brekky to worry about lunch. Eggs Benedict yum yum yum plus chicken sausages :) Omelettes were also very nice.

Dinner again a la carte and again meals are quite nice and you leave very content. Chef John gave us a special meal on our last night and it was best meal of our time. Got to share our last evening meal with our favourite GO - Alexa. Thanks for great company and being such a wonderful young lady. Thanks Chef John, you and your team are amazing at what you do. Thanks to Tamara and her staff as well, you all do such a great job.

Don't forget you get appetisers every afternoon in bar, there is so much food you will not go hungry at this fantastic resort.

Island is only small but you rarely run into to many people apart from meal times. We spent most of the time in our own Villa as we just wanted to use our pool and the warm ocean below us.

If you want to go to sister island Kani then it is a 5 - 10 minute speed boat ride from island and the boat goes too and from all day. We only done it once for lunch but it was too busy and we wanted to get back to the more peaceful surrounds of Finolhu. 100 guest at most at Finolhu comapred to 600 at Kani.

This resort is immaculate and staff do not stop. They are always cleaning, gardening etc and it is so well maitianed. These staff need praise for the work they do.

this resort is 10/10 and we will def be back at some time. Cannot recommend it enough and especially as it is a adult only resort with a small amount of guests at one time.

We done a couples massage at the resort also and its the best Massage that I ever had. Staff actually listen to how you want it.

If you like a drink def do the all inclusive, if not it could cost you a small fortune.

Happy to field any questions you have at all about this amazing destination.

Again a HUGE THANKS to every single one of the finolhu management and staff for such a amazing holiday. Something we will never forget.
