Paradise! Club Med 5 Tridents at Rio das Pedras is the Best

by FelipeVicari

This was our first time at a Club Med. It was fantastic! We've stayed at the 5 Tridents part of the resort that is a new building with high end services. The GOs was the best and since our arrival our experience could't be great. I was with my with and 2 kids ( 4 and 6). The room was perfect, one of the best I've experienced in a hotel, and I've being traveling around the world for a while. The place itself is amazing, very nice landscape and views. The restaurant at the 5T is all inclusive A La Carte so it is very nice. You also have acess to the 4T Resort that is big and has all the activities of Club Med. Big Restaurant with pleasant food and the best nightlife you'll find at a resort in Brazil. Kids club is amazing, huge, with a lot of things to do and a lot of GOs to take care of the kids.

Second time's a charm...

This is our second time at Rio das Pedras, and we must say this stay way exceeded our expectations compared to our first stay; we had a fabulous time there.

We stayed at the La Reserve, which is the luxury part (Club Med calls this the 5T area) of the resort. Mariana, the resident manager, leads a wonderful team there. Giovanna settled us in quickly when we arrived, and after that the staff were almost like mindreaders, satisfying our every need so proactively and graciously. We must make a special mention of the F&B team. The chefs were excellent, producing some delicious dishes and canapes (we loved the Mexican themed ones) every day and night. Michel, one of the great barmen at La Reserve, spoilt us with wonderful cocktails all throughout our stay. Despite the language barrier, he tried his best to communicate with us in French (self-taught) which was really commendable. Club Med must develop him as he is a very valuable asset to them!

In terms of the rest of the resort, the CDV of the village was away, and it showed in that the GO team was a little less engaging than what we are accustomed to. However, there are some notable exceptions, such as the wonderful guest relations team (Christine and Valentina); the tennis (Diego and Ramon), best team we've encountered in a long time; and the waterski GOs. And last but not least, we must mention the wonderful Michele who looked after us throughout our stay, always gracious and proactive, and paying attention to each and every detail.

We would return to Rio das Pedras in a heartbeat, and I'd highly recommend this village to anyone - even though it is a bit far to travel to from Europe, we have enjoyed every single moment of this trip and we look forward to returning to this paradise real soon!!
