Remote and out of this world

by Henry J

I stayed here as part of a tour group.

This hotel is located in the Colca Canyon. It is super duper nice. It gives it a very remote and peaceful feeling. It is very open and you just feel so comfortable walking around. Since this place is high altitude make sure you walk around slowly.

This hotel also has several hot spring pools soale sure you bring some swimming trunks.

Take the time to walk across the river to sees the alpaca s and llamas.

I really like the hotel rooms too. It is very spacious and lot of electrical outlets to charge my batteries.

The only downside is there isn't any other restaurants near by. So you have to eat at hotel but this is not a big issue for me.

Absolutely Perfect!

Colca Lodge exceeded all expectations - it is simply amazing! Unfortunately we were only there one night but would have loved to stay much longer. The alpaca ranch is so cool and the educational displays were extremely informative - plus the walk across the bridge was fun! And the hot springs are absolutely divine - especially love the robes you get to wear. Food and service at the restaurants is great, the check in staff was so nice, and the rooms are really comfortable and have fantastic views. It might be worth another trip to Peru just to stay at this great lodge again!
