This White Mountain lodging is a B&B hiding in the clothing of an affordable motel. The rooms are simply decorated, but with cozy touches such as homemade quilts replacing the usual polyester bedspreads and modern art on the wall in place of the usual landscape scenes. Bathrooms are spotless, with white wainscoting on the walls and full-sized shower/tub combos.
The rooms include several with two queen beds; one with 2 double beds and a whirlpool tub in the bathroom; and a two-room family suite with a king-sized bed and double whirlpool tub in the master bedroom connected to another room with two double beds and a whirlpool tub/shower. In the back area is a pool area with a view of the mountains, and North Conway Village is only a one-minute walk away. While breakfast is not provided, the motel does serve complimentary coffee and tea, and provides 10-percent-off vouchers for local restaurants.

We booked this hotel as an add-on to our Summer week in North Conway. What a wonderful surprise. Pulling into the parking lot it looks like a standard "quaint" motel. Even walking into the room, although very clean with the cutest quilt bed spreads, there was nothing really remarkable about it. However, after a day walking around North Conway the room gave us it's real worth. The air conditioning worked beautifully. It is a window unit which is expected to be a little more than average but it kept the room perfectly cool for the entire night. The beds were heaven. Just soft enough to be cozy but not so soft that we woke up with back aches. There were plenty of pillow. Not the 1/2 pillows you see at some of those cut rate motels but full sized comfy pillows.
The next mornings shower had plenty of hot water and the towels, although not super "fluffy", were large. As a larger person having a towel that can wrap around me instead of the face cloths that most motels provide was a wonderful addition. I had forgotten my hair dryer and the one in the room was clean and worked perfectly.
The location of this motel is just outside the main town. Well within walking distance of the beautiful town of North Conway.
We have stayed here every year for the last 4 years. Was very sad to hear that it was sold. The old owners where always very pleasant and detail oriented. You would see him out cleaning the pool ever day. This year the pool was dirty every time you went in, bugs, and leaves floating along with dirt in the bottom. I even saw a couple of guest cleaning some stuff out of the pool. Sure hope this is not a sign of things to come. The rooms where clean but the house keeper we have gotten to know over the years was getting done that week too. I hope the new staff can keep up to the standards.
