Never Again!

by JRE63

This hotel is like something out of a Live PD episode. First I noticed the location, you hear trucks all night long zooming by. When walking in, the carpets were stained, the buttons on the elevator were soiled and filthy. When I opened the door to the room, there was an odor of ":dead people" as my daughter said. The pressure on the shower was a trickle. When we entered the "breakfast room" I thought we were entering a jail cafeteria. I felt very uncomfortable. The food was terrible. The juices were coming out water, there were no eggs left, the bacon was rubber...I could go on. I would NEVER stay there again. My children were actually scared. Oh, and the alarm clock was sticky and didn't work.

Fall Vacation to DC

We booked this hotel after reading reviews and considering location and price. We stayed from Sunday night October 20 and checked out today. Every hotel employee was friendly and extremely kind & helpful. They guided us on using Metro Rail, and helped us navigate our trip destinations. Rochelle, Mo and Emily went above and beyond with any questions or requests we had. Khaleel, the shuttle van driver was full of helpful suggestions and was always ready to drop us off or pick us up at Van Dorn Metro station. We had a King suite, clean and large rooms with 1.5 baths. While the entire hotel needs renovation and updating, everything was well cared for. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices each morning. The kitchen crew did a fantastic job. We also enjoyed being able to purchase treats near the desk/lobby. We used the washer and dryer on two occasions on the second floor. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this property and highly recommend it to travelers.
