High school State tennis tournament

by ellenh372

A decent place to stay for our visit. It lists it is a downtown hotel...not sure that’s accurate. We were still 15 or so minute drive to the tennis center on campus. Room smelled liked covered up smoke so it must of been a smoking room at some point. Small queen bed. But spacious enough.
Quiet time at 10 pm in lobby so we couldn’t converse well with team when we finished playing late. They didn’t kick us out & were quite nice about it, but still hard to celebrate & talk about our days Events’s. Plus eat... but like I said, they didn’t kick us out!
I didn’t eat breakfast in the morning, but heard it was decent

Loud neighbors next door with kids running across the hall to another room

by Thekansaspyet

We stayed in room 419. Despite asking for a quiet room, it was next to the elevator and beside a room that was occupied by a mother with numerous kids, all who were traveling with another mother with her kids. They were in the hotel pool, sending the kids down the elevator for ice, and visiting across the hallway all evening. The TV was going on loud until at least 1:00am, when my husband went to sleep. I'm deaf in one ear, but could hear the TV, through the pillow under my good ear. When we first got to our room, I saw what the situation was, having encountered one of the kids and the ice bucket in the elevator as we were going up with our luggage. I wanted to immediately request a change of rooms, but my husband never wants to complain. He is not deaf, and the noise did irritate him. I don't know why management doesn't monitor its hotel better. When we checked out the next morning, I mentioned the noise, and the clerk asked if we were the ones who complained. So the noise was pretty bad. I wouldn't stay here again.
