Comfort Suites is a budget-friendly resort located next door to Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The hotel has its own pool and is in the heart of Nassau’s Marina Village shopping and dining area, but its claim to fame is a connection to Atlantis: The hotel is the only property on the island that is allowed to provide full use of Atlantis facilities to its guests at no additional charge.
Recently renovated, comfortable all-suite rooms feature sofa beds and dividers between sitting and sleeping areas, as well as empty mini-refrigerators and in-room microwaves. The multi-million dollar renovation included new bedding, beds, draperies, lamp, artwork and rugs. Guest bathrooms received new granite countertops and lighting. The property also refurbished the onsite restaurant, Crusoe’s, with new chairs, tables, and dark wood buffet cabinets. The hotel’s lobby, patio deck, parking lot and wedding gazebo also received a facelift. A pool is located next to the hotel’s restaurant, the latter providing free breakfast to hotel guests daily, as well as a light lunch option. The hotel features coin-operated laundry and provides free Wi-Fi in-room and in its business center. A free shuttle will drop your family at Atlantis’ various hotels.

Rooms & Rates
Comfort Suites features 223 renovated junior suites with a sitting area and a sleeping area separated by a half divider. Rooms come with either a king-sized bed or two double beds and both come with a sleeper sofa. Unfortunately, even with two double beds and a sleeper sofa, only four people are permitted in a room, so families with five or more are required to book two rooms.
Rooms are equipped with a small flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, mini fridge, in-room safe and coffeemaker. Microwaves are available by request at no charge. Rooms feature either garden or pool views. The hotel is not located directly on the beach and does not provide beach views.

Look, you're on Paradise Island; in The Bahamas; right next to the glitzy Atlantis and able to use their facilities for free! That's the good news. The not so good news is that the Comfort Suites is a little tired and in need of some TLC. We've stayed here numerous times, and whilst the rooms are spacious enough, they all tend to have a slight musty/damp smell. The bed is comfortable, so a good night's sleep is had, but the furniture and the bathroom is a bit average. Breakfast is unimaginative and a bit of a bun fight in a somewhat cramped area. After a few days of the same fare we are dying for something more.
Having said all that, it does represent value for money in a very expensive area, and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. So, if, like us, you can overlook the irritants, then the positives can outweigh the negatives.
I've stayed at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island four years in a row, all in November, and t's still the best way to experience Atlantis, which is a short walk up the hill. Guests at CSPI enjoy full access to Atlantis and Aquaventure, and this, combined with the comparatively low nightly rates compared to Atlantis, makes staying here almost a no-brainer.
Add to this the fact that Comfort Suites offers a good, hot breakfast for FREE every morning -- and Atlantis' breakfast buffet now costs over $30 per person for adults -- and it's easy to see why CSPI is such a great option.
In my opinion, the rooms at CSPI are nicer -- and are definitely roomier -- than the rooms at the signature Royal Tower over at Atlantis, too. Rooms at the Comfort Suites are, after all, suites, and include a seating area as well as the bed, and also include a sizeable refrigerator, (I bring sodas from home and stock the fridge.) Not so at Atlantis, where you get a small mini-fridge filled with expensive items for which you get charged if you even just move them around. If you arrive before your room is ready, they will store your luggage for you while you go enjoy Atlantis.
Note that during the "low" season (including November), the free breakfast is now only offered in the Pelican Room (east side of the hotel) during weekends. Free breakfast is available every morning at Crusoe's Restaurant by the pool, though.
Also, the pool is no longer open 24 hours; it closes at 8 pm. And while it still has a really nice swim-up bar (and good, friendly bartenders!), Atlantis has finally added a swim-up bar as part of the Coral Pool renovation.
Despite these minor quibbles, this was still an excellent, problem-free stay. I'll continue to stay here in the future whenever I come to visit Atlantis.
Pools and Water Park
The hotel has a pool, which is relatively quiet because most families go to neighboring Atlantis Resort to enjoy its exclusive features. Atlantis' Aquaventure Water Park with river rapids, waterslides, beaches and pools is a popular draw, and because the bigger kids prefer the water park of Atlantis, the Comfort Suites pool is actually very good for younger kids or escaping the crowds and chaos.
Atlantis' kid-friendly attractions also include an aquarium, dolphin swim, kids' club, teen nightclub, 'tween club, golf and a teen-friendly spa. All Comfort Suites guests enjoy complimentary access to Atlantis' facilities.
The free hot American breakfast is served daily from 7 to 10 a.m. in the newly renovated Breakfast Salon. A light lunch menu is available in the restaurant or poolside, where there is also a swim-up bar.
Crusoe's Garden Restaurant
Located by the pool, this casual indoor/outdoor restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests will also find a swim-up bar at the pool, which is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Art of Smart Timing
During high season, which runs from the holidays through spring break, rooms start at $300 per night, which is a considerable difference from most of Atlantis' rates, making the hotel a good choice, even during peak season. Nassau is located in the hurricane zone, with hurricane season running from late summer to early fall.
Nassau is just 35 minutes from South Florida and 2.5 hours from New York. Comfort Suites Paradise Island is 30 minutes from Nassau International Airport.
A free shuttle will drop your family at Atlantis' various hotels.
For Mom and Dad
