Located within the University Research Park, this recently upgraded hotel is ideal for families traveling along on a business trip. Uptown and the Charlotte Motor Speedway are also nearby so there is definitely things to do near this hotel while the business person focuses on work. After a day of exploring, families can hang out by the outdoor swimming pool. Kids can play and splash while parents relax at one of the tables and chairs. Pool towels are provided. A fitness center with cardio and weight machines is available for those seeking a workout. The guestrooms and suites feature one king or two queen beds, a mini-fridge and flat screen television. Additionally, the spacious suites feature a sleeper sofa in a separate living room area and a balcony. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel so there is never a concern with staying connected. The onsite restaurant, The Bistro, features casual dining for breakfast and dinner.

Truly awful and surprisingly expensive for a motel-type offering that was hugely depressing....low-ceilinged dark rooms with arc-lamps in the carpark making you think space ships were landing during the night when you wanted to sleep. Reminded me of places in "No Country For Old Men".
A lot of good things about this hotel. The location is very central to the University area. Probably 5 restaurants within 5 min walk, another 20 across the road in a large plaza.
Rooms were standard Courtyard, all good I slept well. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order, well above what I have seen at other Courtyards. And they offered a full bar. Excellent value for price paid and also free parking.
