Baseball Tournament at University of Delaware

I chose this location over the Courtyard closer to the school because of price. The location is excellent, right off I-95. Only a ten minute drive to U of D. The property is older but renovated. Our room was spacious with two queen beds, excellent AC and adequate shower water pressure. Check-in was a breeze. They have an indoor pool and comfortable outdoor seating by the fire pit. As you know, breakfast is not included but they have a nice bistro. First Watch is right next door so we enjoyed a meal there and got the "million dollar bacon". Overall, I recommend this property as an option to the higher prices in the area.

About like most other Courtyards

Clean room, comfortable bedding, nice and somewhat quiet even on first floor
We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at the front desk and told we had been upgraded to a queen suite which was nice, but we couldn’t get in the door. My husband, a big strong man, could not strong-arm his way in at first. We went back to the front desk and the staff member came down and literally threw his entire shoulder into the door twice to get it open and said we just have to push really, really hard. I didn’t leave the room because I would not have been able to get back in without my husband’s help. I reported this to the front desk clerk the next morning upon checkout.
The hotel does have a nice workout room which my husband enjoyed, and even had his favorite type of elliptical trainer which most hotels don’t even bother to purchase because of the expense, so that was nice for him.
